What does Pediatric Endodontics mean?
  • removing the infected nerve or infected pulp and filling the duct or ducts with a paste to allow resorbtion, the root of the milk tooth will disappear in time and as the tooth moves to where it will erupt.
Benefits of Pediatric Endodontics:
  • allows to maintain the affected tooth on the dental arch as much as possible and as close to the moment of eruption of the tooth as defined
  • prevents the spread of infection to the final tooth.

 

It is not mandatory that any dental infection in a dental tooth causes permanent tooth damage, but treatment of the tooth is recommended because the infection may have consequences on the immune system
